I’m sure we’ve all worked on projects that get difficult and political, and it is difficult (and dangerous, and uncomfortable) to raise concerns. Whenever this happens, I think it is *even more important* to ensure that concerns are raised, however they must of course be raised in a practical and appropriate way.

Some projects seem to gain momentum, and the project team is so focussed on delivery and deadlines, that they miss warning signs. As BAs, I think it’s our professional duty to “break rank” and report any anomalies that we see… even if they might be a little inconvenient now and again!

Thanks again for the great post David.

Adrian.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-49510665414942475.post-45957500004742311722011-02-10T21:25:27.702+00:002011-02-10T21:25:27.702+00:00Thanks Shamsul! Thanks Shamsul!David Avishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04506319271071662612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-49510665414942475.post-18494710670823648312011-02-10T11:49:50.081+00:002011-02-10T11:49:50.081+00:00I agree that to have a lasting and sustainable cul...I agree that to have a lasting and sustainable cultural change, often it is the smaller actions which will propel a cultural into change. Especially if the need for change is a general consensus then quite rightly a 'pull' would be deemed as more efficient. A very interesting article and parellel.

Shamsul DuhaShamsul Duhahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01022365039056769888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-49510665414942475.post-91781235977477315612011-01-17T21:55:07.857+00:002011-01-17T21:55:07.857+00:00more info here:

Certainly there are an awful lot of cluttered systems out there that try and "help" users by enforcing a certain path but really just make things more frustrating - MS Windows for example. Clutter and fool-proofing also seem to be rife when systems are designed for the lowest common denominator rather than considering different types of user. See any corporate desktop build for example.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01604528579864849123noreply@blogger.com
